InstallShield offers recommended security settings by default. Upon first connection, client applications trust the server certificates, and warn the user if certificates change upon subsequent connections.

What you should know

The certificates in the recommended security settings for Security Center are used to establish a Transport Layer Security (TLS) connection between the Directory and clients (Security Desk and Config Tool), and between Genetecâ„¢ Servers.

Procedure

  1. On the Security Settings page of the Security Center installation wizard, select Recommended.
  2. Click Install.
NOTE: Security settings are applied the next time you reboot the system.
