For security purposes, you must change the default passwords on your HID controllers
with strong administrator passwords.
What you should know
A valid administrator password is between 6-10 characters in length, and can include
all printable ASCII characters from 32-126 (decimal). See

Procedure

From the Config
Tool home page, open
the Hardware Inventory task.

In the Units section, click on the drop-down and select
Access control unit.

From the list, select your HID units.

Click Generate report.
The report indicates the strength of each HID controller.

Change the password on each unit that doesn't have a Strong password.
