Before you can monitor the occupancy of your conference rooms, you need to create conference rom entities using the Security Center Traffic Sensor Management and Office Conference Rooms plugins.

Before you begin

  • Install the Traffic Sensor Management and Office Conference Rooms plugins.
  • Integrate your traffic sensors as TSS entities to Security Center, and create their associated TSS zones.
  • Create an instrumented area to regroup your TSS zones.
Procedures related to the Traffic Sensor Management plugin are documented in the Security Center Traffic Sensor Management Plugin Guide.

Procedure

  1. From the Config Tool home page, open the Area view task.
  2. Click Add an entity ( ) and select Conference room.
    The conference room entity is displayed in the entity browser.
  3. From the Identity tab, in the Name field, enter a name for the desk.
    Tip: For better search indexing, it is a best practice to include the floor number in the conference room name.
  4. Click the Analytic tab, and from the Instrumented area list, select the instrumented area to associate to the conference room.
  5. Click Apply.
