The patch release must be installed on all Security Center 5.10 computers that have the Server or Client installed, unless otherwise specified by Genetec Inc.

Before you begin

Ensure that Security Center 5.10.4.0 or later is installed and that you have administrator privileges.

Procedure

  1. Log on to GTAP and download the patch release:
    1. Click > Technical Assistance > Product Download.
    2. From the Download Finder list, select Security Center > 5.10 > 5.10.4.8.
    3. In the Patch Releases section and download the Security Center v 5.10.4.8 package.
  2. Exit from all Genetec™ applications.
    For example, Config Tool, Security Desk, and so on.
  3. From the patch release zip file (GSC_5.10.4.8.zip), extract Patch release for Genetec™ Security Center 5.10.exe.
  4. Right-click the extracted .exe file and select Run as administrator.
  5. When the InstallShield has finished analyzing your computer to begin the installation, click Update.
  6. Click Finish.
