Security Center 5.12.0.0 includes the following video enhancements.
General enhancements
- Camera streaming status
- You can now use an output pin to show that a camera is streaming or recording. An LED can be connected to this pin for a visual indication of the camera status. For more information, see Camera - Hardware tab.
- Activity trails now logs video unit replacements
- The Activity trails report now logs details about video unit replacement. This information includes the user who initiated the unit replacement, the name of the camera that was replaced, and the name of the replacement camera. For more information, see User activity you can investigate.
- Activity trails now logs the addition of video bookmarks
- The Activity trails report now logs when a bookmark is added to a video. This information includes the user who added the bookmark, the camera that recorded the video, and the Security Center client that was used to add the bookmark. For more information, see User activity you can investigate.
- Display archive source information
- Security Desk now displays specific information about archive sources that are offline or inactive. This helps you to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with the archive source configuration.
- FFMPEG upgrade
- FFMPEG is updated from version 1.1.2 and 4.3.2 to version 6.0.0.0, which addresses two high-vulnerability issues (CVE-2020-24995, CVE-2021-38114) and 10 medium-vulnerability issues.
