Using the Security Center Traffic Sensor Management and Security Center Digital Sign Management plugins, you can display occupancy and volume counts from an instrumented area on a variable message sign. This is useful for informing drivers about the availability of parking spaces in a parking lot or level.

What you should know

This feature requires the Security Center Digital Sign Management plugin be installed on your marchine. For more information, see the Security Center Digital Sign Management Plugin Guide.

Procedure

  1. Add a variable message sign to your system as a DMS entity.
  2. Create a library message, and from the Placeholders list, select Instrumented area availability.
  3. Activate the message on the sign.
  4. From the entity tree, right-click the DMS entity and select Put online.
