Some traffic sensor systems, such as CitiLog and Bosch, require a connection to a data
source. Before you can monitor data from these units, you must configure the data source
connection for the Transportation Sensor Management
plugin.
Procedure

From the Config
Tool home page, open the
System task, and click the Roles view.

From the entity tree, select the TSS Plugin role, and then click
the Data Sources tab.

At the bottom of the Data source list, click

Enter a name for the data source and select the Data source type
from the list.

Click OK.

If you are configuring a CitiLog media server as a data source, in the
CitiLog media server section, configure the data source
connection:
- IP address
- IP of the CitiLog server in IPv4 format.
- Port
- Port of the CitiLog server.
- No data reconnect
- If the CitiLog Media Server has not received a lifesig message from the TSS plugin by
the time indicated here, the TSS plugin abandons the current connection and attempts to
establish a new one.
- URL
- URL of the CitiLog server.
- Filter analytics
- Send filtered CitiLog analytics to downstream clients.
- Consumer Connections Port
- (Optional) The system can emulate the CitiLog server for another client. This is the
connection port for downstream clients who want to receive filtered or unfiltered alerts
from CitiLog.
NOTE: This method only works for alerts, and not for metadata.

If you are configuring a Sensys SNAPS server as a data source, in the Sensys
SNAPS server section, configure the data source connection:
- Statistics service base URL
- URL of the Sensys SNAPS statistics service. The default value is
http://127.0.0.1/snaps/dataservice/stats.xml
- User name
- User name to access the Sensys SNAPS statistics service.
- Password
- Password to access the Sensys SNAPS statistics service.

Click Apply.
