Before you can relay ALPR reads or GPS data from Security Center to the Travel Times Engine, you must configure the relay properties in the Travel Times Plugin.
Procedure
- From the Config Tool homepage, open the Plugins task.
- In the Plugins task, select the plugin role from the entity browser.
-
To relay ALPR reads to the Travel Times Engine, click the ALPR
relay properties tab and configure the following:
- Relay URL
- URL of the Travel Times Engine.
- Processing interval
- Frequency at which the Travel Times Plugin accumulates and sends ALPR reads.
- Image query lookback
- How far back in time Security Center looks for the ALPR reads.
- Image query timeout
- Time allotted to searching for the ALPR image.
- Digest algorithm
- (Optional) Select an encryption algorithm to use when relaying license plate
numbers.
This is useful when manipulating data in the cloud because it can anonymize personal information.
- Digest salt
- (Optional) Root number of the salt algorithm.
- Relaying ALPR units
- Add ALPR cameras to relay, and choose if you want to forward the ALPR image or
context image to the Travel Times Engine.
If you are not monitoring speed violations with the Travel Times Engine, this parameter is not necessary.
IMPORTANT: Do not forward images unless you are on https.
-
To relay GPS data to the Travel Times Engine, click the GPS relay
properties tab and configure the following:
- Use GPS as travel time probes
- Select this option to activate the GPS relay properties.NOTE: This feature requires the Vehicle Monitoring plugin.
- Max distance
- Maximum distance before a Travel Times Engine node stops sending detections for a GPS entity.
- Processing interval
- Frequency at which the Travel Times Plugin accumulates and sends ALPR reads.
- Max command age
- If the ALPR read is older than this age and the Travel Times Plugin has still not been able to send it to the Travel Times Engine, it is removed from the queue and is not sent again.
- Click Apply.
