To stop temporarily receiving certain types of door events, you can shunt the inputs on
the access control unit that are used to detect these door events.
Before you begin
You must have the following privileges to shunt inputs:
-
Modify access control unit properties
-
Door > Maintenance mode
-
Shunt and unshunt inputs
What you should know
Shunting inputs does not affect the normal operation of the door concerning access
rights. The only effect of this is that the events that would be triggered by the shunted
inputs would no longer be received. Therefore, the door events that are detected through them
are not triggered nor recorded in Security Center.
Procedure
To silence door events:
-
From the Monitoring task, select a tile that is displaying a
door.
The Door widget is displayed in the
Controls pane.
-
In the door widget, click Input () and select one of the
following commands:
- Shunt all inputs
- Silence all door events detected through inputs.
- Shunt door sensors
- Silence events such as Door closed, Door forced open, Door
opened, and Door open too long.
- Shunt entry sensors
- Silence events such as Entry detected and No entry detected.
- Shunt lock sensors
- Silence events such as Door secured and Door unsecured.
- Shunt manual stations
- Silence events such as Manual station activated and Manual station
reverted to normal state.
- Shunt request-to-exit inputs
- Silence events such as Request to exit and Request to exit
normal.
In the area view, the door icon and name turn yellow, meaning the door is in a
warning state. A blue label
Inputs shunted appears in the
Door widget. Clicking this label shows which inputs are shunted in
an info bubble.
To re-enable door events:
-
Click Input () again and select the Unshunt command that
corresponds to the events that you want to enable.
