To simplify having a report generated and distributed by email, you can create a manual action.

Before you begin

Save the report as a public task. The saved task can include and query filters that you want applied, and report columns that you want included. For more information, see Saving tasks in Security Center.

What you should know

  • You can configure the settings for reports that are generated and saved using an action in the Properties page of the Report Manager role. This includes the maximum number of results that can be saved in PDF or Excel format.
  • You need the Single user print/export privilege to perform this operation.

Procedure

  1. In Security Desk, click Hot actions ().
  2. In the Hot actions dialog box, click Manual action.
  3. In the Configure an action dialog box, select Email a report from the Action list.
  4. From the Report list, select the report that was saved as a public task.
  5. From the Recipients list, choose the entity type that you want to distribute the report to:
    • All entity types
    • Cardholders
    • Users
  6. Select the individuals or groups that you want to distribute the report to.
  7. In the External recipients field, enter the email addresses of recipients who are not users or cardholders.
  8. From the Export format list, select Excel, CSV, or PDF.
  9. (Optional) Click Edit email and create the email template for distributing the report.
  10. From the Priority list, select the priority of the report distribution email.
  11. Click OK.

Results

The report is emailed to the selected recipients.
