You can investigate events related to cardholders, using the Cardholder activities report. Events that you can investigate include Access denied: Invalid PIN, First person in, Last person out, Antipassback violation, and so on.

Procedure

  1. From the homepage, open the Cardholder activities task.
  2. Set up the query filters for the report. Choose from one or more of the following filters:
    Access point
Restrict the search to a specific door side.
    Cardholders
Restrict the search to specific cardholders, cardholder groups, or visitors.
NOTE: If you only select the All cardholders cardholder group, federated cardholders aren’t included because All cardholders only includes local cardholders.
    Credentials
Restrict the search to specific credentials.
NOTE: When you filter on a PIN, the query results don’t include events where that PIN is a supplemental credential.
    Custom fields
Restrict the search to a predefined custom field for the entity. This filter only appears if custom fields are defined for the entity, and if the custom field was made visible to you when it was created or last configured.
    Doors - Areas - Elevators
Restrict the search to activities that took place at certain doors, areas, and elevators.
    Event timestamp
Define the time range for the query. You can define the time range for a specific period or a relative period, such as the previous week or the previous month.
    Events
Select the events of interest. The available event types depend on the task you are using.
  3. Click Generate report.
The cardholder events are listed in the report pane.
  4. Show the corresponding video of an event in a tile by double-clicking or dragging the item from the report pane to the canvas.
If there’s no camera attached to the entity, the door, elevator, or area icon is displayed, depending on the type of cardholder event.
  5. Control the tiles using widgets in the Controls pane.

Example

The following are examples of what you can use the Cardholder activities report for:
  • See which areas, doors, and elevators a cardholder has accessed in the last day by searching for that cardholder, and setting the Event timestamp to During the last 1 day.
  • Investigate which cardholders were denied access to an area by filtering on the area and the Access denied event.
