The way FLIR PT-602CZ units are added to Security Center depends on which codec you are using. If you want to use the MPEG-4 or MJPEG codec on the unit, there are some additional configuration steps to perform on the unit's web page before adding the unit to Security Center.

Procedure

To add a FLIR PT-602CZ unit for use with the H.264 codec:

  1. From the Config Tool home page, open the Video task.
  2. Select the Archiver to manage the unit.
  3. Click Add an entity () > Video unit .
    The Add unit dialog box opens.
  4. From the Manufacturer drop-down list, select ONVIF.
  5. From the Product type drop-down list, select All.
  6. Complete all other settings as needed, and click Add.

To add a FLIR PT-602CZ unit for use with the MPEG-4 or MJPEG codec:

  1. Open the unit's web page and click Maintenance > Server > Server status.
  2. Under Server Status click Stop.
  3. Once the server has stopped, click Sensor > Video, then click the VIDEO 0 tab.
  4. Scroll down to the Settings section and select either MPEG4 or MJPEG as the codec.
  5. Click the VIDEO 2 tab and repeat step d above.
  6. From the Config Tool home page, open the Video task.
  7. Select the Archiver to manage the unit.
  8. Click Add an entity () > Video unit .
    The Add unit dialog box opens.
  9. From the Manufacturer drop-down list select ONVIF.
  10. From the Product type drop-down list, select Basic.
  11. Complete all other settings as needed, and click Add.
