To view and dewarp video images in Security Desk that were captured using a Panasonic fisheye camera lens, you must select a fisheye mode from the unit's web page and then configure the lens in Config Tool.

What you should know

Using the dewarping, you can zoom in on a 360 degree image, similar to the digital zoom feature in Security Desk. The zoomed image is dewarped, or flattened to show a rectangular image.

Procedure

  1. Open the unit's web page.
  2. Click Setup > Image/Audio.
  3. From the Image capture mode drop-down list, select the desired fisheye mode and click Set.
  4. Add the unit in Security Center.
  5. From the Video task in Config Tool, select the camera to configure.
  6. Click the Hardware tab.
  7. From the Lens type drop-down list, make sure Panasonic is selected.
  8. Click Edit ().
  9. In the Configure lens dialog box, select the Camera position.
  10. Click OK > Apply.
