To make sure that an aspect ratio of 4:3 is maintained in Security Center for some Sony units such as the SNC-ZP550, additional configuration steps are required in the unit's web page.

What you should know

Some Sony units, such as the SNC-ZP550, do not support resolutions with a 4:3 aspect ratio. The image is stretched when viewing the stream. For example, if you choose to view a 620x480 stream, it will actually display a stretched 620x368 stream.

Procedure

  1. Open the unit's web page.
  2. Click Setup > Camera, and click the Video codec tab.
  3. Set the Letterbox option to On.
