To receive I-VMD alarms in Security Center, you must configure the alarms on the unit’s web page.

Procedure

  1. Open the unit’s web page.
  2. Click Setup > Alarm.
  3. On the Alarm tab, beside VMD function type, select the i-VMD option.
  4. Click Set.
  5. (Optional) If you are configuring an older Panasonic video unit, do the following:
    • Click the Notification tab.
    • In the Panasonic alarm protocol notification, set the TCP alarm notification and Additional alarm area data (vM/I-VMD) options to On.
  6. (Optional) If you are configuring an i-PRO video unit, do the following:
    • Click the Notification tab.
    • In the HTTP alarm notification section, set the TCP alarm notification and AI-VMD alarm area information options to On.
  7. Click Set.
  8. On the i-VMD tab, set the i-VMD information addition to On and select either Detection program 1 or Detection program 2.
  9. Beside Detection mode/area click Setup >> to configure your i-VMD alarms.
    For each area you define, you can select either Intruder, Direction, or Loitering as the Detection mode. For more details, see your i-PRO documentation.
  10. (Optional) If you chose Direction, specify a direction from the Direction setup list.
  11. (Optional) If you want to receive Scene change alarms, set the Scene change option to On.
  12. Click Set.

Results

You can now view i-VMD alarms in Security Center. The alarms are represented in Security Center as follows:
