To view and dewarp video images in Security Desk that were captured using an
Immervision Panomorph lens, you must configure the lens in Config Tool.
What you should know
Dewarping allows you to zoom in on a Panomorph image, similar to the digital zoom
feature in Security Desk. The zoomed image is dewarped, or flattened to show a rectangular
image.
Tip: Calibrate your lens when it is bright. This ensures successful
calibration and dewarping even when it is dark.
Procedure
-
From the Video task in Config Tool, select the camera to
configure.
-
Click the Hardware tab.
-
From the Lens type list, select
Panomorph.
-
Click Edit ().
The Configure lens dialog box opens.
-
Select the Camera position if the selected camera and
panomorph lens do not support automatic configuration.
-
Select the Panomorph Lens Type (RPL) if the selected camera
and panomorph lens do not support automatic configuration. The lens type is listed on
the lens box; sometimes it is on the lens ring.
-
Click Calibrate.
A message indicates whether the lens was calibrated successfully. The calibration
could fail for several reasons:
When the selected camera and panomorph lens support automatic configuration, the
camera position displays automatically in the Camera position
list. Also, the RPL displays automatically in the Panomorph Lens Type
(RPL) list.
-
Click .
After you finish
For your changes to take effect, remove the camera from all
Security Desk tiles, and then re-add the
camera.
