Although AAC (Advanced Audio Coding) is supported on all i-PRO cameras that have the capability, there are certain limitations you should familiarize yourself with.
When an i-PRO camera that supports AAC is newly added to Security Center, the default audio codec selected is AAC.
The i-PRO AAC support has the following limitations:
- Sampling rate and bit rate cannot be changed.
- Only the following connection types are available:
a Requires at least one stream usage to be set to an H.264, HEVC or MPEG-4 stream.

Multicast Same as unita Unicast TCP None (MJPEG only) RTSP over TCP Unicast TCP - When changing the codec in the Microphone properties dialog box, the connection type is not immediately updated. The update occurs only after the changes are applied and the dialog box is re-opened.
- Adding a WV-X8570N unit in Security Center and setting the recording stream usage to MJPEG disables the microphone on the unit.
- Audio settings for i-PRO cameras that have both internal and external microphones cannot be configured in Security Center.
