It is good practice to verify the connection between a Zepcam camera and the Zepcam server before running the Unit enrollment tool in Config Tool. When you physically have the camera in hands, you can verify the connection directly from the camera.

Procedure

  1. Make sure the Zepcam camera is on.
  2. From the camera's menu, click Menu > Settings > Information > Streaming information.
    This page shows how the unit is trying to connect or that it is connected. It also shows the state of the connection to the server. Information you can see includes:
    Active network
    Wi-Fi, 3G, or 4G
    Video server
    Connection state
    Network
    Network name or Unknown
    Server
    {IP}:{Port}
    IP
    Unit IP address
    NOTE: If there is no value listed for the IP, the camera is not connected to a network.
