You can add a vehicle's license plate to a hotlist in Security Center Web Client which can then be used to alert officers of wanted individuals or parking violations, or to permit or restrict access to a parking facility.

What you should know

A hotlist is a list of wanted vehicles, where each vehicle is identified by a license plate number, the issuing state, and the reason why the vehicle is wanted (stolen, wanted felon, Amber alert, VIP, and so on). Optional vehicle information might include the model, the color, and the vehicle identification number (VIN).

In Web Client, you can add a license plate to a hotlist. To remove a license plate from a hotlist, you must use Security Desk. For more information, see Editing hotlists and permit lists.

In addition to adding a license plate from the Monitoring task as described below, you can also add a license plate to a hotlist from the Plate report task.

Procedure

  1. Log on to Web Client.
  2. From the main menu, select the Monitoring task and click New wanted .
  3. Select the hotlist that you want to add the new license plate to, and click Next.
  4. Enter the license plate information.
  5. Click Add.

Results

  • The license plate is added to the hotlist.
  • A hit is generated in Web Client when an ALPR camera reads the plate.
