From a web browser, you can use Security Center Web Client to configure and monitor entities in your system, and to generate reports.

Before you begin

Make sure you have the IP address or hostname of the computer that is running the Web Client Server role.

What you should know

  • By default, you are automatically logged off Web Client after twelve hours of inactivity.
  • Closing the browser window does not log you off Web Client.
  • If a threat level is currently set in Security Center, then you might not be able to log on, depending on your user level. If so, you receive the message: Insufficient user level. If you are logged on, the system might log you off.

Procedure

  1. Open a web browser, and in the address bar, type https://host:port/web address, where host is the IP address or host name of the server that hosts the Web Client Server role, port is HTTP port 80 (default) or HTTPS port 443 (default), and web address is SecurityCenter by default.
The Web Client logon page opens.
  2. On the logon page, enter your credentials and click Connect, or use single sign-on, if available.
If you do not know your username and password, contact your system administrator.
  3. Click Connect.
    The Web Client menu opens.

  4. (Optional) To change the Web Client language:
    1. In the top-right corner of Web Client, click the user icon, and then click Settings.
    2. From the Language list, select your preferred language.
    3. Click Save.
