You must connect the SiPass plugin role to the SiPass server. You can also specify which users receive alarm notifications.

Before you begin

Create the plugin role.

What you should know

Only specific configuration settings are described here. Only specific configuration settings are described here. For more information about generic Config Tool settings, such as the Identity settings, see Common configuration tabs.

Procedure

  1. From the home page in Config Tool, open the Plugins task.
  2. In the entity browser pane, select the SiPass plugin, and then click the Properties tab.
  3. In the Host field, enter the hostname or IP address of the SiPass server.
  4. In the Port field, enter the port number of the SiPass server.
The default port number is 5645. It must be unblocked on your network.
IMPORTANT: If you change the port number here, you must also change it on the SiPass server.
  5. In Alarm recipients, select the users or user groups who will be notified when alarms are triggered by the plugin.
NOTE: The users or user groups selected here are the default alarm recipients configured when alarm entities are created by the plugin. If this list is empty, alarms will still be triggered in Security Center, but no user will be notified. You can also add alarm recipients later in the alarm entity Properties tab.
  6. In Alarm partitions, select the partitions to which the alarm entities will be added when created by the plugin.
Alarms created by the plugin will always be members of the those partitions. Partitions added through the Alarms task will be removed by the plugin if you modify Alarm partitions again.
  7. Click Apply.

Results

The SiPass entities are synchronized in Security Center and are added under the SiPass plugin in the entity browser. Alarm entities and custom events are also created to map those reported by SiPass.
NOTE: The time required for synchronization varies depending on how many entities must be synchronized.
