You can enable the encryption and authentication features between the SiPass plugin and proxy service.

Before you begin

Configuring a certificate for the Siemens SiPass server.

Procedure

  1. In the plugin installation folder, open the Genetec.Plugins.SiPass.dll.config file.
  2. Find the IsCommunicationSecured setting and change its value to True.
  3. Save and close the file.
  4. In Config Tool, restart the plugin role.
  5. In the plugin role Properties tab, enter the authentication password you configured for the proxy.

  6. Click Apply.

After you finish

To use the SiPass diagnostic server to configure system credentials and proxy logs:
  1. In the proxy installation folder, open the Genetec.Plugins.SiPass.ProxyService.cfg.xml file.
  2. Change the DiagnosticServerEnabled setting to True.
