The plugin role is yellow and in the diagnostic window you see a connection error message. The plugin cannot connect to the SiPass server.
Cause
Connection issues typically occur when IP addresses or ports are not configured properly, or when the network is blocking packets from being exchanged between two endpoints.
Solution 1: Confirm that the host and port are configured correctly in the plugin role.
- In Config Tool, open the SiPass plugin role, click the Properties tab.
- Verify that the Host field contains the host name or IP address of the server that hosts SiPass Integrated.
- Verify that the Port field contains the port number that is configured in SiPass Integrated to communicate with Security Center.
- If you get an error message indicating that the port number is already used:
- Change the port number to a value that is available, and then click Apply.
- Change the port number used on the SiPass server to the same one you just configured.
Solution 2: Confirm that the IP address and Port are available.
- If you still observe an issue, use the Ping command to verify that the IP address of the SiPass server is reachable from the server on which the plugin role is running.
- If the IP address is available, but the plugin still cannot communicate with the SiPass server, make sure that the port is not blocked anywhere on your network.
