Sipelia™ 2.14.0.0 includes the following new features and security-related upgrades.
- Assigning call priority to users and VoIP devices
- To help operators quickly determine if incoming calls are normal, urgent, or critical, you can now assign a call priority to users and VoIP devices. When Sipelia receives calls simultaneously, first priority goes to the most urgent call.
- Sipelia is now available in the Genetec™ Web App
- You can now use Sipelia to make and receive calls in the Genetec™ Web App. This
enables communication with security personnel and VoIP devices from any supported web
browser.
For information about enabling Sipelia in the Genetec Web App, see the Sipelia™ Gateway Quick Start Guide on the TechDoc Hub.
- The Sipelia Mobile plugin is now the Sipelia Gateway plugin
- Sipelia Mobile has been renamed to Sipelia Gateway, as it now offers voice and video calling capabilities to applications beyond Genetec™ Mobile.
- Changes to default audio codecs
- To ensure audio quality and reduce the occurrence of transcoding, Sipelia now uses the G711u, G711a, and G722 as its default audio codecs.
