You can broadcast dynamic messages using the public address feature. You can choose
to broadcast live, text-to-speech, or pre-recorded messages.
Before you begin
- Create paging zones with
extensions.
- Log into Security Desk with a user that has a VoIP SIP extension assigned.
Procedure
To broadcast a message live:

From the Security Desk homepage, open the address book and launch a paging
zone.

In the Public address setup window, select
Microphone as the broadcast source.

Use the headset connected to the Security Desk workstation and click
Broadcast to talk live.
Your voice broadcasts on all the speakers that are connected to the paging
zone.
To broadcast a message from text:

From the Security Desk homepage, open the address book and launch a paging
zone.

Open the address book and launch a paging zone.

In the Public address setup window, select
Text to speech as the broadcast source.

Write the text message and click the plus sign to Add a
message.
It cannot contain special characters.
NOTE: You can switch languages using the Windows language feature and link
multiple languages for the same message.

You can select the Repeat icon to loop the message up to
three times.

Click Broadcast to start the public address call.
To broadcast a pre-recorded message:

From the Security Desk homepage, open the address book and launch a paging
zone.

Open the address book and launch a paging zone.

In the Public address setup window, select a
pre-recorded audio file.
Files that were previously uploaded on your Sipelia server are available as
MP3 or WAV files. The selected
file plays on the speakers connected to the paging zone.

Click Broadcast to play the audio file.
