By installing and activating Cloud Agent, you can establish a secure connection to the cloud from each Synergis™ Cloud Link appliance that is enrolled in a hosted Synergis™ deployment.

Before you begin

Your Synergis™ Cloud Link must be running the latest version of Synergis™ Softwire.

What you should know

Cloud Agent is a separate software module for Synergis™ Cloud Link that establishes a secure connection to the cloud. Before enrolling your units in a hosted Synergis™ deployment, Cloud Agent must be installed and activated on each unit to establish the cloud connection.

Procedure

  1. In a web browser, open the Product Download page on the Genetec™ Technical Assistance Portal at https://portal.genetec.com/support/SystemManagement/DownloadSection/.
  2. Click Select a Product > Synergis™ Softwire and select the version you have.
  3. Download the version of Cloud Agent corresponding to your version of Security Center.
  4. Install Cloud Agent on all Synergis™ units that will be enrolled in the hosted Synergis™ deployment. The installation is handled as a standard firmware update.
