To enroll a Synergis™ unit in Security Center, assign the unit to an Access Manager role.

What you should know

Creating the Access Manager role adds the extensions by default. However, the required Synergis™ extension is created with the default discovery port 2000. If you configured your unit with a different port, you must also change it in Config Tool.
NOTE: If you select the Activate peer to peer option in Config Tool, be aware that only up to 15 units can be connected as peers.
Best Practice: If you have multiple Access Manager roles controlling Synergis™ units on the same subnet, ensure that they use different discovery ports. Otherwise, you might experience performance issues.


  1. From the Config Tool home page, open the Access control task, and click the Roles and units view.
  2. Select the Access Manager, and click the Extensions tab.
  3. Select the Synergis™ extension.
  4. Select the discovery port and click Edit ().
  5. In the Discovery port dialog box, enter the port number configured for your Synergis™ units and click Save.
    The port number must match the discovery port configured on your Synergis™ units.
