Synergis™ Cloud Link 2.0.0 is a limited availability release and the first firmware release for the second generation Synergis™ Cloud Link appliance.
From now on, the first generation Synergis™ Cloud
Link is
referred to as the legacy Synergis™ Cloud
Link.
About limited availability units
Although the unit still functions as the previous generation, given it is in limited
availability, there are certain limitations below for the time being, that will be fully
functional for the official launch in early summer of 2022.
- Available on Security Center 5.9+ only.
- Limited Availability model is not UL294, ULC 60839-11-1 or CSPN certified.
- Global antipassback, global I/O functions and peer-to-peer communications are unavailable until remote firmware upgrades become available.
- Legacy Synergis™ Cloud Link units are not directly swappable in Security Center. All next-generation Synergis™ Cloud Link devices will have to be reconfigured in Security Center when replacing a legacy unit, regardless of installation timing.
Important notes
- Next-generation Synergis™ Cloud Link LA units can be upgraded with global antipassback, global I/O and peer-to-peer communications via remote firmware upgrades as soon as these features become available.
- Units deployed as part of the LA program will not be eligible for UL or CSPN certification.
- Genetec Inc. will not replace next-generation Synergis™ Cloud Link LA units for general availability units free of cost. If you choose to deploy the LA units, certified replacements would be available at your standard discount.
