Synergis™ Cloud Link 2.1.0 includes the following enhancements.

General enhancements

Customizable appliance hostname
You can now configure the hostname of your Synergis Cloud Link appliance from the Synergis™ Appliance Portal.
Network Time Protocol (NTP) support
You can now sync your Synergis Cloud Link units with an NTP server if one is reachable on your network. NTP offers greater time accuracy than the built-in protocol that synchronizes the Synergis Cloud Link units with their Access Manager.

For more information on the above features, see Configuring the network properties of the Synergis Cloud Link unit.

Security enhancements

DESFire EV2 secure messaging support
We now support DESFire EV2 secure messaging. The DESFire keys can either be stored in the Synergis key store or in a Secure Access Module (SAM) AV3 card. The supported readers are all STid SSCP readers and all OSDP transparent readers.

For more information, see Enabling DESFire EV2 secure messaging.

Mercury integration enhancements

Customized LED and beeper behavior
You can now configure the LED and beeper settings of all Mercury-controlled readers from the Synergis™ Appliance Portal. You can also export the LED and beeper settings from one Synergis unit and import them to other Synergis units.

For more information, see Configuring reader LED and beeper settings for the Synergis Cloud Link unit.

Updated Mercury controller settings:
The following door settings were updated on the Mercury controller settings page in the Synergis™ Appliance Portal:
Live 'Request to exit' events
Changes the way that Synergis Cloud Link processes Request to exit events from Mercury LP controllers, so that the timestamps on the events are accurately reported.
NOTE: This option was added in version 2.0.4 and used to be off by default. Now, it is on by default.

Synergis™ IX integration enhancements

Reporting which input triggered an intrusion detection area alarm
You can now see which input triggered the Intrusion detection area alarm activated event in the Monitoring task and the Intrusion detection area activities task, even after the input as returned to its Normal state.

To benefit from this enhancement, you must have the Synergis IX extension 3.2 or later installed.
