You can back up Synergis™ IX controllers through the Synergis™ Appliance Portal or through the Synergis™ IX backup task in Config Tool.

you use affects how you restore the configuration on a Synergis IX controller in case it needs
to be replaced.
NOTE: If you use the Synergis Appliance Portal backup method, you can delete
any existing backup configuration from Config Tool.
