Many of the Synergis™ IX door settings in Config Tool can be configured with each other. Using the incorrect combination of settings can cause undesirable or unpredictable behavior. Refer to the most frequently used configurations to help prevent these configuration errors.

The settings listed in the following table are found on the Synergis™ IX page of the door in Config Tool.

Configuration Use case Main setting to enable Other settings
Intrusion and Scheduled Access Control - restrictive You want both the intrusion area to be disarmed and the unlock schedule to be valid before the door unlocks. Area disarmed and schedule valid, unlock door To know which other settings must be enabled or disabled when using the main setting, see Configuring Synergis IX settings for doors.
Intrusion and Scheduled Access Control - less restrictive You want either the intrusion area to be disarmed or the unlock schedule to be valid before the door unlocks. Area disarmed or schedule valid, unlock door
Schedule only You want the unlock schedule to override any other function. Always check unlock schedule
First-person-in rule You want the unlock schedule to only unlock the door once the first person has accessed the door. Schedule operates late to open
