You can rename and change the icon of the virtual door created by the Synergis™ IX intrusion detection area mapping task.
Procedure

Under the Doors list, select the virtual door created in the
previous step and click Jump to (
) .
You’re brought to the Identity page of the virtual door in the Area view task. -
In the Area view task, rename the virtual door to something easily
identifiable.
Do one of the following:
- If the virtual door does not correspond to any physical door, leave its name as
Virtual door followed by the name of the Synergis IX controller. NOTE: All intrusion detection areas monitored by the same Synergis IX controller can use the same virtual door for synchronization. If a virtual door already exists for the same controller, do the following:
- From the Area view task, delete the newly created virtual door.
- Switch back to the Mapping task.
The task again offers to create a new virtual door for synchronization purposes.
- Under the Doors list, click Add an
item (
).
- In the Search window that opens, select the existing virtual door.
- Click Select > Apply.
- If the virtual door corresponds to a physical door, give it a name that indicates the area to which it belongs. For example: Area-1 door.
- If the virtual door does not correspond to any physical door, leave its name as
Virtual door followed by the name of the Synergis IX controller.

If the virtual door corresponds to a real door, change its icon.

Click the down arrow beside the virtual door icon and click
Reset.
The virtual door icon (
) changes to the regular door icon (
).
- Click Apply

Click the down arrow beside the virtual door icon and click
Reset.
- Switch back to the Mapping task.
