Before you reset a Synergis™ IX controller that is paired to a Synergis™ Cloud Link unit to its factory default, you must first remove it from the Hardware configuration page of the Synergis™ Appliance Portal.

What you should know

Defaulting a Synergis IX controller that is still paired to a Synergis Cloud Link unit causes the latter to continuously try to log on to the former using the credentials it knows. This prevents you from logging on to the Synergis IX controller to create its first Admin user.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the Synergis Cloud Link unit.
  2. Click Configuration > Hardware.
  3. On the Hardware configuration page, expand the Synergis IX unit and click Delete.
  4. In the confirmation dialog box, click Yes.
  5. Reset the Synergis IX controller to the factory default.
