To manage the Synergis™ IX controllers, you must create an Intrusion Manager role in Config Tool. Only one instance of the Intrusion Manager role is allowed per system.

1. From the Config Tool homepage, open the System task and click the Roles view.
2. Click Add an entity () and select Intrusion Manager.
   For more information, see the Synergis IX Deployment Guide .
3. (Optional) Create a sample schedule to automatically arm and disarm the intrusion detection areas.
   Tip: Before creating the official schedules, you can create a sample schedule for the purpose of testing.
   1. From the System task, click the Schedules view.
   2. Click Add schedule ().
      

      The sample schedule can subsequently be used to configure the arming and disarming of intrusion detection areas.
