Before proceeding to configure your intrusion detection system in Security Center, ensure that the Synergis™ Cloud Link, the Synergis™ IX controller, and the Synergis IX reader expanders are upgraded to the latest versions.

Before you begin

Verify that your device firmware version matches the latest requirements. The following steps show you how to check the firmware version that you are currently running. If your firmware is up to date, you can skip the step.

Procedure

  1. Upgrade the Synergis Cloud Link firmware from the Synergis™ Appliance Portal.
    Do one of the following:
  2. Upgrade the Synergis IX controller firmware from Synergis Appliance Portal .

  3. Upgrade the Synergis IX reader expander firmware from Synergis™ IX Portal .
    For more information, see Upgrading the firmware on Synergis IX controllers and reader expanders.

After you finish

Create the required secured areas in Security Center.
