Configuring the EntraGuard tenants - Synergis Softwire 11.4

You have to model EntraGuard tenants as cardholders in Security Center.

Before you begin

Learn about the different ways EntraGuard tenants can be configured and how each configuration affects what information gets synchronized.

For more information about how to create cardholders, credentials, and access rules, see the Security Center Administrator Guide.

Procedure

Create one cardholder entity for each apartment unit in your building.

Tip: Use the head of the family's name as the Display name for EntraGuard.
For each apartment unit, create a credential entity for each person living in that apartment, and assign them to the cardholders representing the tenants of the apartment.
Create an access rule and assign it to the EntraGuard door.

NOTE: Only the cardholders affected by this rule are sent to the EntraGuard module.

After you finish

Configure the Access Manager role to synchronize cardholder and credential custom fields, and then start a manual synchronization of the Synergis™ unit with its Access Manager to download the tenant information to the EntraGuard module.

You must repeat this operation every time you change a value in one of the cardholder custom fields and want that information to be updated on the EntraGuard module.
