To integrate EntraGuard to your Security Center system, you must complete all wiring between the EntraGuard and your door, enroll EntraGuard on your Synergis™ unit, and configure your tenants in Security Center.

Procedure

  1. Complete all physical wiring.
The EntraGuard board must be wired to the sensor, lock, and REX of the main entrance door of the building. The NXT board must be wired to the outside reader of the same door. For more information, see Keri’s documentation on NXT and EntraGuard modules.
  2. If your network does not support DHCP, assign a new IP address to your Synergis unit.
The Synergis unit comes with a factory-assigned hostname. If your network does not support DHCP, ask your IT department to assign the Synergis unit a new IP address. For more information, see the Synergis™ Appliance Configuration Guide.
  3. Enable EntraGuard enrollment on the Synergis unit.
This allows the Keri EntraGuard to be added to the Synergis unit and ensures that the custom fields needed for EntraGuard integration will be created when the Synergis unit is enrolled in Security Center.
  4. Establish the communication between the Synergis unit and the NXT module by enrolling it in the Synergis™ Appliance Portal.
  5. Enroll the Synergis unit in Security Center.
Three cardholder custom fields are created automatically in Security Center after you enroll and synchronize the Synergis unit. These fields are used to hold the EntraGuard tenant information in a later step.
  6. Configure in Security Center the main entrance door to the building that EntraGuard controls.
  7. Configure in Security Center the side door controlled by the NXT module.
  8. Configure in Security Center the tenants of the building.
The Synergis unit can push that information to populate the EntraGuard directory.
  9. Configure the welcome banner and the phone commands for EntraGuard.
IMPORTANT: This is a mandatory step that you must complete for your system to work. Many integrators skip this step and end up with an incomplete setup.
