1 Between the Synergis™ unit and the Aperio wireless communication hub. The AH30 hub communicates over RS-485; the AH40 hub communicates over IP.

2 Communication can be encrypted between the Aperio hub and the lock.

Communication between the Synergis™ and the AH30 hub is unencrypted. Communication with the AH40 hub uses TLS 1.2 encryption.

3 Aperio-enabled locks can hold five credentials that work offline.

4 If the unit is controlling multiple locks, spreading the hubs and locks evenly across all available RS-485 channels increases performance.

(AH30) Each channel supports up to eight hubs, and each hub supports up to eight Aperio devices, for a maximum of 64 Aperio devices per channel. One Synergis™ unit supports up to 32 AH30 hubs and 64 Aperio devices.

(AH40) Each hub controls up to 16 Aperio devices for a total of 64 Aperio devices per Synergis™ unit. One Synergis™ unit supports up to 64 AH40 hubs and 64 Aperio devices.
