Fin the Mercury controller integration, Mercury controllers are called interface modules because they connect the downstream panels (MR50, MR52, and so on) to the Synergis™ unit.
Mercury EP, LP, M5-IC, and M5-ICS controllers communicate directly with the Synergis™ unit.
Visit the Genetec™ Resource center for the datasheets of the supported Mercury devices.
Synergis™ Softwire 11.3 supports the following Mercury devices:Model | Description | Minimum compatible versions |
---|---|---|
EP1501 and LP1501 | IP controller that natively supports up to 2 readers and 1 opening. Using on-board OSDP, device controls 1 door and up to 2 OSDP multi-dropped readers. When not using on-board OSDP reader, device can expand to support up to 17 readers and openings in total. |
|
EP1502 and LP1502 | IP controller with eight inputs, four outputs, two reader connections, and one
RS-485 bus supporting up to 32 downstream panels. The EP1502 or LP1502 can control
up to 64 doors. Starting in Synergis™ Softwire 11.3.1 and Security Center 5.10.4.0, LP1502 supports two OSDP readers per port. |
|
EP2500 and LP2500 | IP controller with two RS-485 buses, supporting up to 64 doors. |
|
EP4502 and LP4502 | IP controller similar to the EP1502 and LP1502, but with an extra RS-485 port
and increased credential capacity. The EP4502 and LP4502 support TLS 1.2 protected
communications and FICAM Strong Authentication to meet the US Federal FIPS-201
standard. Starting in Synergis™ Softwire 11.3.1 and Security Center 5.10.4.0, LP4502 supports two OSDP readers per port. |

Allegion Schlage locks | Mercury controllers can also be used with Allegion Schlage AD Series locks. | See Supported Allegion Schlage locks in Synergis™ Softwire 11.3. |
BEST Wi-Q locks | Starting in Synergis™ Softwire 11.3.1, Mercury LP4502 controllers can also be used with BEST Wi-Q locks. | See Supported BEST Wi-Q locks in Synergis™ Softwire 11.3. |
SimonsVoss SmartIntego locks | Mercury controllers can also be used with SimonsVoss SmartIntego locks. | See Supported SimonsVoss locks in Synergis™ Softwire 11.3. |
M5 Bridge | All Mercury M5 Bridge panels are plug-and-play compatible with your existing
Casi Micro5 enclosure and offer one-for-one board replacement with your existing
panels.1
|
|
MS Bridge | All Mercury MS Bridge panels are direct retrofits of iSTAR Pro panels from
Software House. The MS-I8S and MS-R8S panels can also be connected to an EP controller.

1 When using inputs on the F2F reader or inputs from the interface reader ports, the odd-numbered inputs shown in Config Tool are used for REX, and the even-numbered inputs are used for door contacts.
2 Together, the M5-IC and the M5-2K replace the Casi M2000 enclosure circuit board. There are up to eight enclosures per M5-IC: the first enclosure has one M5-IC plus one M5-2K, and the next seven enclosures have one M5-COM plus one M5-2K.
On an M5-IC with an M5-2K board, inputs 1 to 8 are virtual F2F inputs and outputs 1 to 4 are virtual F2F outputs. Inputs 9 to 18 are physical inputs on the board, and outputs 5 to 12 are relays.
3 Digital outputs (solid-state switches).
4 Used for downstream communication with add-on enclosures with no M5-IC.
5 MS-ACS boards consume two addresses. If the DIP switch settings are set to 0 and 2 with 2 MS-ACS boards connected on the ribbon bus of the MS-ICS, then addresses 0 to 4 are used, and cannot be re-used by other downstream MS or MR boards.
