Unlock schedules on Mercury controllers are implemented with time zones, and each unlock schedule time zone can have up to twelve intervals. When this limit is exceeded, the Synergis™ unit goes into a warning state in Security Center, and unlock schedules might not be applied properly.

About unlock schedule time zones and intervals

  • Each door consumes one unlock schedule time zone.
  • Each unlock schedule time zone represents a list of days of the week and time intervals during each day when the schedule is active.
  • Each day can have multiple intervals.
  • Each unlock schedule time zone can have up to twelve intervals.
  • Each interval is defined by a start and end time.
The following is an example of an unlock schedule time zone with two intervals:
  • Mondays from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm
  • Mondays from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm
NOTE: The intervals in this example are 8:00 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Applying the same intervals to each day of the week would still only count as two intervals in the unlock schedule time zone.
The following is an example of an unlock schedule time zone with three intervals:
  • Monday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm
  • Monday from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm
  • Tuesday from 9:00 am to 11:00 am
  • Tuesday from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm
NOTE: The intervals in this example are 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, and 9:00 am to 11:00 am.

How unlock schedule time zones work

  • An unlock schedule time zone is created by merging one week's worth of unlock schedules.
  • One unlock schedule time zone per door is synced to the Mercury controller daily.
  • When the interval limit is exceeded, the Synergis unit goes into a warning state. The warning indicates which doors or elevators have exceeded the limit.
NOTE: Even when the interval limit is exceeded, the Synergis unit still applies the unlock schedule intervals that were not synchronized, as long as the unit is online. However, the schedules are not applied if the unit goes offline. This does not apply to Mercury elevators because they work at the Mercury level, so if the limit is exceeded, the unlock schedules for elevators do not work properly, even if the Synergis unit is online.
