For DDS integration, each DDS door controller is viewed as an interface module.

NOTE: The DDS IP controller integration is only supported with legacy Synergis™ Cloud Link units.
Synergis™ Softwire 11.6.0 supports the following DDS hardware devices:
Model Description Firmware
AS34_P2 or TPL_P2 Door controller supporting RS-485 communication, featuring four Wiegand readers, suitable for two card-in/card-out doors.
NOTE: The ROM chip installed on the U5 socket of the TPL board must be labeled 564x to be compatible with Synergis Softwire. The last digit of the chip number depends on the storage capacity of the ROM.
You can apply the recommended firmware from the Interface upgrade page of the Synergis™ Appliance Portal.
AS34_P4 or TPL_P4 Door controller supporting RS-485 communication, featuring four Wiegand readers, suitable for four card-in/REX-out doors.
NOTE: The ROM chip installed on the U5 socket of the TPL board must be labeled 664x to be compatible with Synergis Softwire. The last digit of the chip number depends on the storage capacity of the ROM.
JET_P2 Door controller supporting RS-485 communication, featuring four Wiegand readers, suitable for either two card-in/card-out doors, or two card-in/REX-out doors1.
NOTE: The ROM chip installed on the U5 socket of the JET board must be labeled 564x to be compatible with Synergis Softwire. The last digit of the chip number depends on the storage capacity of the ROM.
JET_P4 Door controller supporting RS-485 communication, featuring four Wiegand readers, suitable for either two card-in/card-out doors, or four card-in/REX-out doors1.
NOTE: The ROM chip installed on the U5 socket of the JET board must be labeled 664x to be compatible with Synergis Softwire. The last digit of the chip number depends on the storage capacity of the ROM.
EXT-TCPT TCP/IP extension board for the TPL door controller. Not applicable
EXT-8E4S TCP/IP extension board adding eight supervised inputs and four outputs to the TPL door controller with the ROM chip 664x.

This combination is equivalent to adding a TCP/IP interface to the TPL_P4 controller.

Not applicable
JET_P4 extension board Extension board adding eight supervised inputs1 and four outputs to the JET_P4 door controller. Not applicable

1 Input states when the resistance value is at 9.4 kohms might be incorrect because DDS four-state supervision is 4.7 kohm/4.7 kohm and has a narrow range at the 9.4 kohm value.

Limitations for door configuration

When configuring doors for JET_P2 controllers, the following reader pairing must be respected:
Card-in/card-out doors
Use reader 1 with reader 3. Reader 1 must be on the In side and reader 3 must be on the Out side.

Use reader 2 with reader 4. Reader 2 must be on the In side and reader 4 must be on the Out side.

For only one card-in/card-out door, you can use either the reader 1 and 3 pair, the reader 2 and 4 pair, or readers 1 and 2.

Card-in/REX-out doors
For two card-in/REX-out doors, don’t assign readers 3 and 4 to any doors.
NOTE: If the specific reader pairing isn't respected, the doors aren't properly synced to the JET controller and will behave incorrectly when the controller gets disconnected from Synergis Softwire.
