Interface modules come in all shapes and sizes and offer a wide range of features. Synergis™ Softwire supports most of the common features found on the market.

Synergis Softwire 11.6.0 supports the following Mercury controller features.
The following is the legend for some common values found in the Supported column:
Yes
Synergis Softwire supports the feature and the interface module offers it.
No
Synergis Softwire does not support the feature, but the interface module offers it.
Not applicable
The interface module does not offer the feature.

Recommended maximum number of interface modules per Synergis unit 32 controllers, 256 readers6

1 Degraded mode in this context does not refer to Mercury's degraded mode where the downstream panel is disconnected from the Mercury controller. Mercury's degraded mode is not supported.

2 The OSDP (Secure Channel) reader must be paired to a reader port on the controller. The certified readers are: HID multiCLASS SE RP40, Allegion Schlage MT15-485, and Nexus Cidron SC9100-MD-MP-VG2. Other models might also work.

3 There is not always a one-to-one match between an offline log entry and a Security Center event. The Mercury controller integration with Synergis Softwire is limited to 40,000 offline log entries.

4 Applies to EP2500, LP2500, MP2500, EP4502, LP4502, and MP4502. EP and LP controllers require Security Center 5.10 or later and MP controllers require 5.12.1.0 or later. EP1501, LP1501, MP1501, EP1502, LP1502, and MP1502 support up to 250,000. M5-IC and MS-ICS support up to 560,000.

5 The credential limit of the default configuration. Up to eight different credential lengths are supported.

6 There are two values that limit the number of controllers you can connect to the appliance:
  • The maximum number of controllers you can connect to the appliance
  • The maximum number of controlled readers
Synergis™ Cloud Link, SV-32, SV-100, and SV-300 support up to the following number of Mercury controllers and controlled readers:
    • Sixteen controllers and 128 readers in Security Center 5.4 and earlier
    • Thirty-two controllers and 256 readers in Security Center 5.5 and later
Also, each Mercury controller is limited in the number of Mercury access control readers (ACRs) it supports. EP1501, LP1501, and MP1501 controllers support up to 17 ACRs. For other EP, LP, or MP controllers, the limit is 64. The formula for per-controller ACR count is:
    • One ACR per door with at least one reader
    • One ACR per door with at least one door monitor input
    • One ACR per door with at least one door lock output
    • Two ACRs per door with two readers (card-in/card-out)
    • One ACR per elevator with one reader
