Upgrading from production image 4.x
The upgrade path you must follow depends on the Synergis™ Softwire version currently on your appliance.- Upgrading from Synergis™ Softwire 10.7 through 10.11
- Synergis™ appliances running Synergis™ Softwire 10.7 through 10.11 can be upgraded directly to Synergis™ Softwire 11.0 using Synergis™ Appliance Portal. For more information, see Updating firmware on the Synergis™ appliance.

- To upgrade a Synergis™ unit running a Synergis™
Softwire version below 10.7 to version 11.0:
- Upgrade to version 10.7.

Upgrading from SMC firmware
Synergis™ Master Controller appliances cannot be upgraded to Synergis™ Softwire 11.0. The latest Synergis™ Softwire version supported by Synergis™ Master Controller appliances is 10.11.Upgrading a Streamvault™ appliance
Streamvault™ appliances can be upgraded directly to Synergis™ Softwire 11.0. Use InstallShield to upgrade an SV appliance.NOTE: You
must select Allow local access only in the installer
options.
