Upgrading Synergis™ appliances with production image 3.x - Synergis™ Softwire 11.3.3

The Synergis™ Softwire upgrade path you must follow depends on the 3.x image on your Synergis™ appliance.

To upgrade a Synergis™ appliance that has production images 3.8 or 3.7:

1. Upgrade to Synergis™ Softwire 10.11.
2. Apply Service stack 20190923.
3. Upgrade to Synergis™ Softwire 11.3.

To upgrade a Synergis™ appliance that has production images 3.6 or 3.5:

1. Upgrade to Synergis™ Softwire 10.7.
2. Upgrade to Synergis™ Softwire 10.11.
3. Apply Service stack 20190923.
4. Upgrade to Synergis™ Softwire 11.3.

To upgrade a Synergis™ appliance that has production images 3.4, 3.3, 3.2, 3.1, or 3.0:

1. Upgrade to Synergis™ Softwire 10.7.
2. Apply Management framework 5.1.
3. Upgrade to Synergis™ Softwire 10.11.
4. Apply Service stack 20190923.
5. Upgrade to Synergis™ Softwire 11.3.

To verify that the Management framework, Service stack, and Framework runtime environment were updated correctly:

1. From Synergis™ Appliance Portal, click Maintenance > System status > Unit.
2. Verify that the following components are installed on your Synergis™ appliance:

   Runtime environment

   Framework 4.7.2

   Platform component updates

   • Management framework 5.1
   • Service stack 20190923
   • (Optional) Latest cumulative security rollup

   Example: The order in which the unit information is listed varies depending on the version of Synergis™ Softwire you are using.
