Before you can temporarily override secure states on a floor or landing for building maintenance or emergencies, you must configure the override in Security Center.

What you should know

Using manual overrides enables you to temporarily suspend the secure state of a source or destination for a set amount of time, or unsecure a whole floor or building in the case of an emergency.

Procedure

  1. From the entity browser, select the floor or landing you want to configure.
  2. In the Overrides section, click Add ().
NOTE: You can also right-click the floor or landing, or multiple floors or landings, and then select the Create security override menu item.

    The Create security override menu.
The Create security override window opens.
  3. Configure the settings in the Create security override window:
    Name
Enter a name for this override.
    Source
Select the DED from which the override is applied. You can also set the source to Any, which creates an override for all DEDs connected to the selected landings or floors..
    Start
Enter the date and time that the override begins.
    Duration
Enter how long the override lasts.
    Access
Select whether the scheduled access is secured or unsecured.
    Reason
Enter a reason for the override.

    The Create security override window.
NOTE: You cannot set up recurring overrides.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Click Apply.
