To connect the Thyssenkrupp plugin role to the Thyssenkrupp Destination Dispatch system, you must create and configure elevator groups using the Configuration window of the plugin.

What you should know

  • You can configure elevator groups manually, or slide the Auto-discovery toggle to ON and have the entities import automatically during a heartbeat exchange with the Thyssenkrupp server.
  • Elevator groups, landings, elevators, and DEDs are defined by the Thyssenkrupp system. All entities that you add in the Configuration page have a Thyssenkrupp ID number, which must match the corresponding component in the Thyssenkrupp system.
  • Elevator groups reference separate physical banks of elevators that lead to different locations in a building complex.

Procedure

  1. From the home page in Config Tool, open the Plugins task.
  2. From the entity browser, select the Thyssenkrupp plugin, and then click the Configuration tab.
  3. In the lower left corner of the Configuration page, click Add () and select Elevator group.
  4. (Optional) Add a Name and Description for the elevator group.


  5. Click Apply.
    NOTE: Config Tool automatically increases elevator group Thyssenkrupp IDs by increments of 1 for each elevator group that you add. If you do not give the groups custom names, then Config Tool treats them the same as ID numbers. For example, Group 1 is followed by Group 2.

To configure the elevator groups, add elevators and add landings.
