To import transaction data from a point-of-sale system, you must add the parser associated with the system to Security Center.

What you should know

Details about connecting Security Center to the parser for your POS system are available in the Transaction Finder integration guide specific to your POS system.

Procedure

  1. From the Config Tool home page, open the Plugins task.
  2. In the Plugins task, select the Transaction Finder plugin role from the entity browser, and click Add parser.
  3. In the Add parser dialog box, add the following:
    Name
The name you want to apply to the parser.
    Description
    A description of the parser.
  4. From the Type list, select the type of parser you are adding.
  5. Indicate whether the parser is installed on the same computer as the plugin (locally) or on a separate computer (remotely).
    Local
Choose Local to use the parsers installed on the same server as the plugin role. Enter the port number of the configuration web server. The default port is 12000.
NOTE: The Gateway parser supports only remote mode.
    Remote
Choose Remote to use the parser installed on a different server than the plugin. Enter the URL of the configuration web server.
NOTE: Communication between the parser and the plugin must be encrypted. This is enabled by switching the Use secure connection option to ON in the Connection section of the Plugins task.
Adding a parser to the Transaction Finder plugin role.
  6. Click OK.
