In Security Center, you can define rules for
arming and disarming an area when a cardholder presents an access key or badge at a door
reader.
What you should know
You cannot define multiple swipes for arming and disarming on the same
reader.
Procedure
To define the rules for arming and disarming areas:

From the Config Tool home page,
open the Intrusion detection task.

Expand the Intrusion Manager role from the entity browser, and then select the
intrusion detection unit you want to configure.

Click the Areas tab, and then select an area from the
list.
To define the rules for arming an area:

In the Badging section, move the Armed
slider to ON.

Under Badging requirements, enter the number of card swipes
required to arm the door.

Enter the amount of time in seconds allowed for each card
swipe.

In the Manage cardholders / doors section, expand the
Arm section.

Right-click Doors, click Add
doors, and then select the door or doors you want to use to arm the
area.

Right-click Cardholders, click
Add cardholders, and then select one or more
cardholders.
To define the rules for disarming an area:

In the Badging section, move the
Disarmed slider to ON.

Under Badging requirements, enter the number of card swipes
required to disarm the door.

Enter the amount of time in seconds allowed for each card
swipe.

In the Manage cardholders / doors section, expand the
Disarm section.

Right-click Doors, click Add doors,
and then select the door or doors you want to use to disarm the area.

Right-click Cardholders, click
Add cardholders, and then select one or more
cardholders.
Example
When the area arming is set to 2 swipes and 5 seconds, then a specified cardholder
must swipe their access key twice at the door within 10 seconds to arm the area.
When the
area disarming is set to 3 swipes and 2 seconds, then a specified cardholder must swipe
their access key three times at the door within 6 seconds to disarm the
area.
