You can retrieve configured users from the Advisor Master and Advisor Advanced intrusion panels, and then map them to cardholders in Security Center.

What you should know

  • If you are connecting to an x500 series panel running firmware version 4.5 or later, it is recommended that you pull the users from the panel into Security Center before using the user mapping table. Otherwise, users created on the panel with installer privileges are at risk of being overwritten by cardholders that are mapped in the user mapping table.
  • UTC users with installer privileges on an x500 series panel running firmware version 4.5 or later cannot be created, updated or deleted in Security Center.
  • UTC users with installer privileges and an ID number greater than 1000 cannot be enrolled on an x500 series panel running firmware version 4.5 or later. As a result, they cannot be pulled from Security Center.
  • UTC users cannot be pulled from an x500 series panel if their ID number in the UTC system is greater than 1000. In order for them to be pulled, you must change their ID number in the UTC system to a number less than 1000.
  • Pulling users from a UTC Master Classic panel is not supported.
  • Users that are pulled from a panel are not automatically mapped to Security Center cardholders that belong to cardholder groups, even if their names match. Instead, you must manually map UTC users to Security Center cardholders.

Procedure

  1. From the Config Tool home page, open the Intrusion detection task.
  2. Expand the Intrusion Manager role from the entity browser, and select the intrusion detection unit you want to configure.
  3. Click the Users tab.
  4. In the User mappings section, click Pull all users.
The user mappings table is now populated with the intrusion panel users, but no users are mapped to any cardholders yet.
  5. Click Map users to map all the unmapped panel users displayed in the user mappings table, and then click Apply.

Results

The UTC Advisor Master and Advanced panel users are now mapped to Security Center cardholders, and are displayed in the user mappings table.
