To upgrade the firmware on a Mercury controller in a TI EntryPoint integration, you must uninstall the EntryPoint Embedded package, then re-install the package after the firmware update is complete.

Procedure

  1. Log on to your Synergis™ unit using the following URL:
    https://<IP address>/MercuryEP/FirmwareVersions
NOTE: <IP address> is the IP address of your Synergis unit.
  2. On the FirmwareVersions page, click Remove TI EntryPoint Embedded package <version>, where <version> is the current package version.
The TI EntryPoint package is uninstalled.
  3. To verify that TI Entrypoint is uninstalled, log onto the LP4520 Configuration Manager in another browser window.
If TI EntryPoint is uninstalled, EntryPoint-Embedded disappears from the menu.
  4. On the FirmwareVersions page, click Upgrade to version <version>, where <version> is the latest package version.
The firmware is installed and the Mercury controller reboots. The process takes about 25 minutes. Refresh the FirmwareVersions page to verify that the firmware upgrade was successful.
  5. Restart the Synergis unit.
  6. Log back on to the unit.
  7. On the FirmwareVersions page, click Install TI EntryPoint Embedded package <version>, where <version> is the latest package version.
The TI EntryPoint package is installed.
  8. To verify that TI Entrypoint is installed, reload the window where the Mercury controller Configuration Manager is open.
If TI EntryPoint is installed, EntryPoint-Embedded is listed in the left-hand menu.
